It started with a simple project - a book shelf in our first home…

We bought a few simple tools, some lumber, and created our first piece, instead of buying from the store. A custom corner book shelf. From there we branched out, creating furniture we had seen in-store but didn’t have the means to pay for, so we made pieces instead. Fast forward a decade or so, new family members, new tools, and new skills, and here we are, creating items for the home from raw materials, as well as pieces of art from some very creative young members of our family.

At The Makers Murphy, you will find useful pieces, decorations, and art from our creative family. We are constantly trying new ideas, and continuously adding to our catalog. Every piece is made by our family, from locally sourced materials in north-east North Carolina.
